SOLAR ENERGY STORAGE SOLUTIONS

Indian Electricity sector is undergoing fundamental changes in utilisation of electrical energy. The transformation brings in Variable Renewable Energy sources to the network and its optimisation through large-scale storage systems. For the first time in Kerala, a seminar was conducted in Thiruvananthapuram on Solar Energy Storage Solutions on 27 July 2018. The seminar was organized by Raychem RPG, in association with Soura Natural Energy Solutions India Pvt Ltd and supported by Anert, the State Nodal agency for Renewable Energy. The venue of the Seminar was the Hotel Taj Vivanta. The participants in the event included Technocrats from Department of Power, State Utility major KSEBL, Nodal Agency Anert, State Electrical Inspectorate, Energy Management Centre, C-DAC, INKAL, DER operators, Distribution Licensees, Open Access Consumers, Smart City, Academy, Consultants and various other market participants. The technical presentation was made by Raychem RPG. Director Mr Nit

Solar Energy vs. Fossil Fuels

In all societies, electrical energy is required to meet the most basic of human needs. Lighting, safety, comfort, cooking, transportation, communications and the basic production that supports our economies all depend on electrical power. 39% of all energy consumed is used in the production of electricity. Electrical utilization is a significant part of a person’s environmental footprint. The difference between renewable energy and the non-renewable energy (fossil fuels) isn’t as complicated as you may think. Renewable energy comes from natural resources that can be replenished during an average human lifetime and includes the following types of power: Solar Wind Hydro Geothermal Biomass Fossil fuels, on the other hand, can take thousands—or even millions—of years to naturally replenish: Natural gas Coal Oil These distinctions may seem cut-and-dried, but there are some grey areas. Natural gas is often labelled as “clean power” because it burns cleane

Tips for Solar Panel Cleaning and Maintenance

Maintenance is the key to sustaining a strong, properly functioning, efficient, and effective structure. With the purchase of solar panels, consumers are in luck.  Fortunately, solar panels require pretty low maintenance. Unlike generators which are composed of moving components which require repair or replacement, solar panels do not have moving parts that can rust or breakdown. However, cleaning is one aspect of solar panel maintenance that should not be taken lightly. One of the many benefits of solar panels is their durability. Systems typically come with 20-year warranties , and panels can last upward of 40 years. The more direct sunlight solar panels can absorb, the more energy they create. Dirt, debris, snow, and even bird droppings can build up on your panels and block sunlight. The dirty solar panels can lose up to 25 per cent efficiency . Keeping your panels clean helps ensure good power production. Monitoring Solar Panel: It is another main important thing under

Solar Energy and Electricity Bills

Installing solar panels on your roof allows you to generate your own electricity and pay less to your utility. Your electricity costs after solar will depend on how much electricity your solar panels generate, how much electricity you use, and how much your utility charges for electricity.  It is this very reduction in costs that ultimately pay for an investment in solar power and helps you to experience a net benefit in the future.  The amount of power you create with solar panels is really dependent on two things: the amount of sunlight in your area and the size of your solar system. T he amount of sunlight depends upon the location and surroundings.  The size of your solar array determines how much electricity that sunshine will actually make. A typical installation provides at least half of a customer’s electrical needs, but many households are able to install even larger systems. By using solar panels we can assure you that the power you will create is the best possible f
