Solar Panel Installation Procedures

Solar Panel Installation Kerala

Are you decided and ready to go solar and save your earth? It’s a good decision actually. Welcome to the growing community of homeowners around the globe who care about energy savings and creating a healthier planet for future generations.

Then the first step you have to do is to select the best solar panel installer in your area whom can do it perfectly for you.  And along with that, you should be aware of the overall functioning and price of solar panels and its installation. Before choosing the solar installer you should ask them the following questions:

1.  Ask how long it takes to install and interconnect a solar system to the grid and whether they have a waitlist.

2.   Ask them about the subsidies, if they provide or not.

3.   Ask them what solar panels and other equipment they offer, including what types of inverters and solar panels they use. Then research to find out which equipment you want them to install.

4.   Ask them what financing options they offer and at what rates.

5.   Ask them what accreditations and licenses they have.

6.  Ask them what they take care of in terms of permitting and what you’re responsible for in terms of the permitting process.

By considering all these things choose the perfect installer. Then the actual process of solar installation starts.

First Inception:
The first thing your solar installation company will do is send an engineer to your home to evaluate whether your residence is suitable for solar power. They’ll determine where the system will be located on your home, inspect the roof inside and out to make sure its sound enough for the solar panels and racking systems and where additional equipment, including the inverter, if the system is not using micro inverters, and the power controller. If you pass the roof test, then the solar panel installation company will sit down with you and assess how powerful you want your system to be, and how much you have available in finances.

Permitting Procedure:
Your solar contractor should handle getting you most, if not all, of the permits and paperwork needed for the solar system they’ll install on your home. You’ll have to sign them but they’ll usually submit the documents to the local agencies and utility for approval.

Equipment:
After your permit is granted the installers will go over your custom design, get your approval and then they have to think about the equipment. If your solar contractor doesn’t already have the equipment in stock they’ll have to order it from a distributor. This can be done during the permitting process or after. The solar inverter is the device that collects the electricity generated by your panels and sends it to the grid. Solar panels generate direct current (DC), and the grid runs on alternating current (AC), so you need a device to convert one to the other, and that device is the inverter. Usually, your inverter is installed on your garage wall, or on your home wall and you will need the power to your home disconnecting while it is being installed. Solar panels can be of different types and choose the one which suits your roofing and home structure.

Installation:
The actual solar panel installation will usually take between one and three days to install, depending on the size of the system and the roofing materials. The process starts by making sure the roof is sound and ready for the solar panels and racking equipment to hold them in place. At this time the installer may have to install a new power meter that allows for bi-directional metering of electricity, allowing for net-metering. The installer will start installing the wiring for the new solar system. Then they’ll install racking equipment on the roof, followed by the solar panels. Finally, they’ll connect the solar panels to the inverter or power controllers.

Advantages of Using Solar Power in Petrol Pumps

India has over 50,000 petrol pumps catering to the demand of the country. And do you know how much electricity a petrol pump needs every day? It requires more than 5 KW of electricity every day for their operations. This amounts to a total capacity of over 1,440 KW of power required for a year per petrol station. Running your petrol pump on electricity is possible in the big and medium cities but the petrol pumps, especially in rural India, derive power from diesel generators sets as they do not have a continuous power supply or do not have power lines.  The operation cost for running the pumps on diesel generators sets is very high. So using solar panels is more advantageous than a diesel generator. Use of solar energy in petrol pumps has proven to offer reliable operations of dispensing units even in load shedding hours. The dispensing units last long as the solar system provides superior power quality. Advantages: Can be used on pre-installed inverters Economic, Smal

Solar Energy in Transportation

As we all know solar energy is obtained from the sun’s radiation and it can be converted into electricity or heat. It is freely available and thanks to advances in technology, we can now harness even more of the solar energy that is continuously available to us. Solar energy is not only sustainable, it is renewable and this means that we will never run out of it. It is about as natural a source of power as it is possible to generate electricity. The creation of solar energy requires little maintenance. Once the solar panels have been installed and are working at maximum efficiency there is only a small amount of maintenance required each year to ensure they are in working order. They are a silent producer of energy. There is absolutely no noise made from photovoltaic panels as they convert sunlight into usable electricity. There are continual advancements in solar panel technolog y which are increasing the efficiency and lowering the cost of production, thus making it, even m

How to plan for solar panels for a new home?

Everyone has a dream to build their own new home. But building a new home is very challenging and a difficult process as well. There are so many things one should keep in mind such as finding the perfect block of land in the best suburbs, selecting the right builder and other things like furnishings, colours, fittings etc. If you decide to install solar panels on your rooftop when your home is being built, you can ensure that your home is designed with solar PV systems. While your solar energy system doesn’t need to be at the centre of all your home design decisions, anticipating and eliminating potential issues at the time of construction is a lot easier than trying to work around them later. The “ideal” solar home has a south-facing roof to capture as much sunlight as possible over the course of the day.  Every roof types are suitable for solar installation but some roof types will be difficult for the solar installers to work with.
